EURid joins the 2024 UADOM conference

On 4 December 2024, the .UA registry, Hostmaster Ltd, hosted the annual UADOM conference in a remote format. Since 2011, UADOM has been a key event for internet professionals from Ukraine and Europe, offering a platform to reflect on the past year and share plans for the future in the domain industry. This is an event not to be missed by registrars, domain owners, administrators, business partners, and all those shaping Ukraine’s internet landscape.

2024 key topics discussed included:

  • Resilience and reliability of the domain name system
  • New technologies in the domain space
  • Cooperation between registrars and domain administrators
  • Resolution of domain disputes

Supporting events like UADOM highlights EURid's commitment to fostering collaboration and driving innovation in Ukraine’s digital identity and telecommunications sectors. As part of this effort, EURid participated in the conference with a presentation by our Enterprise Architect, Oleksandr Sobko, titled “The Validation of Registration Data in EURid: Procedure & Solution Architecture.” His talk focused on the critical importance of accurate domain registration data, as outlined in the NIS2 Regulation, and how EURid leverages this data to combat DNS abuse.
