2 Nov. 2015

Brussels, 2 November 2015 – EURid (the .eu Registry) is proud to announce its hosting of the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG) in cooperation with the European Commission. The European Dialogue on Internet Governance is an open platform for informal and inclusive discussions on public policy issues related to Internet Governance across Europe and integrates issues from national Internet Governance platforms in Europe as well as contributing to the global Internet Governance Forum (IGF).

The IX EuroDIG meeting will take place on 9-10 of June 2016 at the Square Meeting centre in Brussels.

‘We are active supporters of EuroDIG and delighted to be able to host next year's event in Brussels’ commented EURid’s External Relations Manager Giovanni Seppia.

The Call for contributions to set the agenda is now open and runs until 31 December 2015. Individuals and organisations across Europe are invited to submit topics that they wish to see discussed during next year’s meeting. All topics will be evaluated in January 2016 and will become the basis for the meeting programme.

The EuroDIG Public Planning meeting is scheduled for 26 January 2016 and interested participants are welcome to attend. Registration will open on 1 December 2015.

Stay tuned on EuroDIG 2016 at www.eurodig.org. Further information on the event will also be available at the EuroDIG booth during the upcoming IGF in João Pessoa, Brazil. Be sure to come by if you attend the next IGF meeting!
