Students show creative ways to raise .eu awareness
Brussels, 9 April 2010 – The winners of the 2009 .eu marketing competition, Badr Bakhat, Tristan Goguillot, Benjamin Neu and Benjamin Petremont, presented their project at EURid headquarters yesterday. The student team, from the Paris-based school of management ESCP Europe, showed the .eu registry original and innovative ways to raise awareness of the .eu top-level domain. As a reward for their efforts they received a gift voucher for air travel within Europe. Second place winner Thomas Aichner was awarded a weekend in Brussels for four.
EURid launched the .eu marketing competition in November 2009. ESCP Europe Business and Marketing Management students were invited to submit innovative, effective and original campaigns that increased awareness of the .eu top-level domain and improved the active use of already registered .eu domain names. Submissions were evaluated according to innovation, creativity, relevance, feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
The competition resulted in many original and interesting ideas. EURid wishes to thank all participants and ESCP Europe for its collaboration. The registry would also like to congratulate the winners on their outstanding work.
