.eu meets start-ups at Internet Week Europe in London
Brussels, 8 November 2012 - The .eu registry EURid is speaking to new online businesses at a start-up workshop held on 12 November during London’s Internet Week Europe (12-16 November 2012).
The European Commission is hosting a day of workshops called "How Europe can help your digital start-up" which offers practical advice to companies in the United Kingdom looking to expand into the European Union. This event is one of the many happening in London during Internet Week Europe, a festival marking Europe's thriving Internet industry.
EURid’s External Relations Manager, Giovanni Seppia, is participating in a workshop on creating the right website for your business and will talk about the value that the .eu Internet extension brings. In addition, the .eu team will also be available to answer questions about .eu domain names at the EURid information stand.

Across Europe, .eu domain name registrations grew strongly by 7.6% in the year to Q2 2012 showing that .eu is ideally suited for businesses with cross-border operations, enabling companies to express the fact that they are open for business in other EU markets. In the United Kingdom, there are currently more than 344 000 .eu domain names registered to British businesses, organisations and individuals.
