.eu on show in Hungary and Romania
Brussels, 11 October 2012 – The .eu registry, EURid, will be present at the Internet Hungary trade fair in Siófok (16-17 October) and at IAB Romania Forum in Bucharest (16 October) to further raise awareness of .eu in these two countries and build on registration growth.
In Hungary, .eu registrations grew by 6% in the year to Q2 2012. There are currently more than 44 000 .eu domain names registered to Hungarian businesses, organisations and individuals. This shows that the .eu extension is ideally suited for businesses with cross-border activities by enabling companies to express the “Made in Europe” element of their business and products. Similarly, Romania saw 1.4% growth over the same period and has over 26 000 .eu registrations.
EURid’s Liaison Manager for Hungary, Ester Szilágyiová, is available for interviews during the Internet Hungary event. EURid’s Liaison Managers for Romania and Slovakia, Dan Murgoci and Matúš Macurák, are attending IAB Romania and are also available for interviews.
