Celebrating two anniversaries
Fall 2020 brings us an opportunity to celebrate two one-year anniversaries.
On 19 October 2019, the eligibility criteria for the registration of .eu domain name was extended to all EU citizens living around the world, in order to strive to meet the needs of an ever-changing digital environment. As of 1 November 2020, 1845 people have chosen to register a .eu web address, based on their citizenship.
On 14 November 2019, we will mark the first year of our third dot, .ευ (.eu in Greek script). The launch of the .eu in Greek represented another milestone in .eu history as well as in the ongoing campaign for supporting online multilingualism, following the introduction of the .eu in Cyrillic in June 2016. Today we have 2 739 .ευ domain names registered.
