Q4 yields the highest registration numbers of 2021

EURid published its Q4 2021 report with 216,830 new registrations recorded, which shows the highest registration number of 2021, with Portugal as the top runner with 23.4% growth.

In October, the European Commission selected EURid to continue as the .eu TLD`s registry manager through to October 2027, which together with the healthy growth rate underlines that .eu has a firm foothold in the domain name market.

Q4 also saw EURid celebrate the second anniversary of the Greek .ευ extension with 2600 registrations to date. An update on the Know Your Customer project with new verification methods for domain name holders with a valid bank account and announced the 7 winners of the 2021 .eu Web Awards during a spectacular hybrid gala viewed by 350 people.
