DNS services:

Since 2006, EURid has provided reliable domain resolution through our globally distributed DNS infrastructure. We use Anycast technology featuring multiple layers of redundancy and geographic distribution, thereby guaranteeing high availability, minimal latency and fast, reliable access to .eu domains. Our infrastructure supports both IPsv4 and IPv6, ensuring a resilient digital ecosystem.

Domain registration:

EURid offers seamless domain registration services, including support for Internationalised Domain Names (IDNs). We foster digital inclusivity by enabling registrations in multiple scripts and promoting linguistic diversity within the European digital economy.

WHOIS services:

Our GDPR-compliant WHOIS services, available both via command line and a web-based interface, provide essential domain information while upholding European data privacy and security standards, balancing transparency with the protection of user rights.

Registrar support:

EURid provides registrars with a comprehensive suite of resources, including real-time domain management through a web-based portal, the Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP) and continuous access to multilingual technical support.

Innovation against abuse:

In line with the European Commission’s agenda for a secure digital landscape, EURid is developing cutting-edge, AI-powered systems such as APEWS to proactively detect and mitigate domain name abuse. We work closely with universities, law enforcement bodies and cybersecurity agencies to ensure a high level of domain protection.

As part of our commitment to the EU’s sustainability and climate neutrality goals, EURid’s data centres are optimised for energy efficiency, reducing our environmental impact while maintaining top-tier operational standards.
