EURid publishes its 2015 World Report on Internationalised Domain Names
Brussels, 10 December 2015 – EURid is delighted to announce the release of the much anticipated 2015 EURid-UNESCO World Report on Internationalised Domain Names!
This year’s World Report has a number of distinct focuses beginning with an analysis of why IDNs are drivers of multilingualism and going on to consider universal acceptance of IDNs, in a chapter by Mark McFadden.
‘Now more than ever the topic of IDNs is becoming increasing prominent. This report has the goal to shed light on current trends and offer some valuable information to our readers! According to the findings of the report, IDNs represent 2% of domain names registered worldwide. .eu is in the Top-20 TLD list for IDNs registered at the second level.
