.eu launches its very own Academy
russels, 16 June 2015 – EURid is proud to announce the launch of the .eu Academy!
The initiative has, as its main objective, the goal to contribute to the education of industry peers, registrars and future generations about the basics of the Internet, its history, functioning and marketing-administrative-security-legal related facets.
‘We currently share our best practices with industry peers and provide specific e-learning platforms to our stakeholders. Having also cooperated with the College of Europe in Bruges and the Scuola Sant’Anna in Pisa to provide classes on Internet governance, it seemed like the natural next step to make the DNS field accessible to young graduates and university students too and to incorporate everything under one umbrella. The traineeships specifically are a great opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the industry and are tailored specifically to the interests of each applicant’ commented External Relations Manager Giovanni Seppia.
As of today, university students and young graduates can apply for traineeships, lasting anywhere between six weeks and three months, at the .eu registry. Interested parties are encouraged to write to [email protected] detailing the area they would like to gain more DNS expertise in and the timeframe they are available. In addition, aspiring applicants ought to attach a CV itemising their academic studies. .eu will design a customised programme so that participants can learn and work in close cooperation with members of EURid staff.
