EURid and EUIPO continue their collaboration
As part of a collaboration formalised in 2016, EURid`s General manager Peter Janssen and EUIPO's Executive Director, Christian Archambeau signed a new memorandum of understanding, committing to join forces in raising awareness about trademarks and domain names.
The EUIPO is the European Union Intellectual Property Office responsible for managing the EU trademark and the registered Community design. EUIPO also works with the IP offices of the EU Member States and international partners to offer a similar registration experience for trademarks and designs across Europe and the world.
With this collaboration, EURid and EUIPO aim to continue to empower European companies to manage their intellectual property rights correctly, and take a stand against potential .eu domain abuse.
