Brexit update 1 June 2021

1 June 2021

This morning EURid has once again notified by email all registrars and their UK registrants whose .eu domain names were SUSPENDED on 1 January 2021, that their domain names will be WITHDRAWN on 1 July 2021, unless the registration details are updated by then.

We invite you to continue liaising with your registrars to make sure that any request to move the domain name back to the “REGISTERED” status is submitted to us before 30 June 2021. Registrants can demonstrate their compliance with the .eu regulatory framework by updating their contact data (e.g. indicating a legally established entity in, or updating the residence to, one of the eligible EU27 or EEA Member States, or demonstrating their citizenship of one of the EU27 Member States).

On 1 July 2021, we will move non-compliant domain names to the “WITHDRAWN” status.

Should you have any questions, please consult the dedicated Brexit page or contact us via [email protected].
