Dear reader,
2019 is a very special year for the European Union. After sixty years of success, the European common project now faces many challenges and crucial elections which will decide the shape of the Union.
This issue of .eu Illustrated focuses on the achievements of the European Union as a facilitator and watchdog of peace, freedom, inclusion, sustainability, education, research, development, cooperation, and the future, all across all its Member States.
Within almost 3.7 million registered .eu domain names, many webpages represent the values and goals that the European common project has achieved since its foundation. Individuals, associations, organisations, and companies all contribute to make the European Union as we know it today.
At a time in which populism and Euroscepticism is rising, we invite you, through the following pages, to reflect on the benefits that the EU brings to our daily lives.
Enjoy the read,
Giovanni Seppia,
External Relations Manager
