EURid selected by ICANN to develop DNS study in the Middle East and adjoining countries

Brussels, 15 June 2015 - We are delighted to announce that the .eu registry, following the submission of a proposal, has signed an agreement with ICANN to conduct a study on the domain name industry in the Middle East and Adjoining Countries (MEAC Region).
The research has, as its main objective, to detect and explain both the strong and weaker points of the industry ecosystem within the region and to establish suggestions on ways to improve it.
The initiative was a direct product of the ICANN Middle East Engagement Strategy. The final report of the study is scheduled for October 2015.
