EURid holds Internet law and governance course in Pisa

Brussels, 6 November 2014 - Tomorrow and Saturday, EURid will hold a course on EU Internet law and governance for the students of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa.

The course will provide an overview of EU law relating to the Internet for those studying European law, International relations and diplomacy. It gives a background to the Internet, reviews how existing laws – especially privacy and intellectual property laws - have had to adapt, evaluates the success of bespoke legislation at EU and national level, and considers the role of technology and best practices in shaping regulatory responses especially in the domain name system. It also includes a session on the most recent developments in the Internet governance landscape.
