EURid confirms its green touch for the next three years

12 Oct. 2015

Brussels, 12 October 2015 – Since 2011 EURid has implemented the Environmental Management System (EMS) - certified by ISO 14001:2004 and EMAS (Regulation No. 1221/2009/EC) so as to adequately assess the environmental impact of its activities and monitor the compliance of its policies and procedures.

EURid is very proud to reconfirm its environmental commitment for the next three years. The revised 2015 Environmental Policy has the aim to continue and further develop the efforts made over the past three years.

‘Our objective is to incorporate principles of sustainability into as many business decisions and activities as possible, including those carried out on our behalf. We remain steadfast in setting annual targets to ensure that this goal is maintained’ commented External Relations Manager Giovanni Seppia.

The adoption of energy and water-saving measures at EURid headquarters, the efficient use of products and materials - such as paper - and the selection, wherever possible, of day-to-day items which exert a minimal environmental impact in the extraction or sourcing of materials, their manufacture, use and disposal, the sharing of our environmental best practices with our industry peers, and the reduction of the company’s carbon footprint by cutting down greenhouse emissions are just some examples of corporate initiatives to ensure a minimal negative impact on the environment.
