I am a domain name holder

How can I update my registration based on my citizenship?

As of October 2019, European Union citizens may register a domain name under .eu (or its variants in other scripts) independently of their country of residence. If you would like to update your registration based on your eligibility as citizen of an EU member state, please contact your registrar (the company through which you have registered the domain name).

Your registrar can update your registration data and include the country of citizenship in the provided “citizenship” field. At any time after an update, you may verify the registration data of your domain name by logging in to My.eu account.

If you are looking for a registrar that offers the registration based on the citizenship criteria, please visit the “Find a Registrar” page and filter the list in the Services section and select the Citizenship- based registrations.
