EURid giving a course on EU and Global Internet Governance Law

11 Nov. 2019

As the Internet has become integrated into our societies and economies, it is no surprise to see a proliferation of case law, and regulation to address perceived problems as they arise. At the same time, revelations of mass surveillance, big data analysis, and the dawn of the Internet of Things have created international discussions and pose potential risks to our security. This course is designed to give an essential background and overview to students within the confines of the Internet, International relations and diplomacy via topics such as; cybercrime, cybersecurity, privacy, IoT and more.

The course “EU AND GLOBAL INTERNET GOVERNANCE LAW - Behind the scenes of the government of the Internet” takes place on 11 – 13 November 2019 at the Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice  and sees our External Relations Manager Giovanni Seppia, Regional Manager Central Europe Regina Fuchsova and CEO of Oxford Information Labs Emily Taylor as the main tutors. The course is developed as part of EURid`s .eu Academy initiative and is in the Universities program for the third year.
