.eu Q2 progress report now available
Brussels, 5 September 2013 – Hailed as the most important development for the .eu top-level domain in Q2, the .eu registry EURid expanded its membership to include five new board members in April, according to the its Q2 2013 quarterly progress report, published today.
The new members, all associations with a strong Internet-oriented vision which are active on a European level, include: the Confederation of Computer User Associations (CECUA), the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA), the Euro¬pean Multi-Channel Online Trade Association (EMOTA), the Interactive Advertising Bureau Europe (IAB Europe) and the European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (UEAPME).

Q2 in numbers
During the second quarter, the total number of .eu registrations increased in 13 of the 28 EU Member States to reach 3.70 million domain names. Slovenia, Bulgaria and Austria all saw growth of more than 5%. Renewal rates stayed strong dur¬ing Q2 at an average of 85%.
