Meet the Jury of the 2026 .eu Web Awards

With nominations for the 2026 .eu Web Awards now open, we are pleased to introduce the five experts who will be joining this year’s jury.

From intellectual property and entrepreneurship to sustainability, culture, digital innovation and internet governance, the 2026 jury brings together a diverse range of expertise and perspectives. Together, they will review the finalist websites and select winners across the five award categories, celebrating the people and organisations behind some of the most inspiring .eu websites.

Meet the 2026 jury:

• Alexandra Apostolakis — EUIPO

Alexandra Apostolakis is an intellectual property expert at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), where she works to help businesses and institutions across Europe make the most of intellectual property tools, services and awareness initiatives.

• Thomas Ohr — EU-Startups

Thomas Ohr is the Founder and CEO of EU-Startups, a leading online publication covering Europe's startup ecosystem. He is also the organiser of the annual EU-Startups Summit, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and innovators from across Europe.

• Arend Bolle — South Pole

Arend Bolle is a climate and sustainability professional at South Pole, with expertise spanning carbon markets, climate strategy and sustainability. His experience brings an important perspective on how organisations can contribute to a more sustainable future.

• Nicholas Jarrett — Europeana Foundation

Nicholas Jarrett manages the Marketing, Communications and Analytics team at the Europeana Foundation, helping to promote and connect Europe's rich cultural heritage through digital platforms. His work sits at the intersection of culture, technology and digital communication.

• Charalampos Kyritsis — Digital Dialogues

Charalampos Kyritsis is an ICT professional and internet governance advocate with a strong focus on digital rights, privacy and youth participation. His work reflects the importance of ensuring that Europe's digital future remains open, inclusive and centred on people.

We thank our jury members for bringing their expertise, perspectives and enthusiasm to this year’s .eu Web Awards. Together, they reflect the breadth of talent and expertise across Europe’s digital community.
